HV Note: HockeyValley’s bracketology results differ from the USCHO’s because we are using different presumptions to predict the conference tournament champions. USCHO assumes the current conference team with the highest winning percentage will win the tournament (note that’s also a change from their previous methodology which was based on the current conference standings), while Hockeyvalley assumes the highest rated team in the KRACH ratings will. Thus, the USCHO projects #16 Minnesota as the Big Ten champ which would bump Penn State out of the NCAA field, while HockeyValley projects #6 Michigan as the Big Ten champ which would keep Penn State in the field.
