The strong start and solid play up front allowed P.J. Musico to settle into the Mallards’ net. Musico was acquired from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Feb. 9, hadn’t seen any game action since Jan. 19 and hadn’t made a start since Dec. 26. There were no signs of rust as he made 32 saves to grab his first win since the day after Christmas.
