STATE COLLEGE – The Penn State womens hockey team couldnt overcome Robert Morriss solid special teams play and dropped its regular season finale to the Colonials 4-1 on Saturday.
Penn State (15-15-4, 9-9-2 CHA) gets the No. 3 seed in the College Hockey America (CHA) standings after earning the tie break with Robert Morris (11-17-5, 8-8-4 CHA), whose 20 points match the Nittany Lions. The Blue and White will host No. 6 RIT in the opening round of the CHA Playoffs. The best-of-three series at Pegula Ice Arena features games on Fri., Feb. 27, Sat., Feb. 28 and, if needed, Sun., March 1.
