Penn State came from behind to defeat No. 15 Vermont, 4-2, in the Philadelphia College Hockey Classic on Saturday, marking the fifth time in as many games the Nittany Lions (13-7-4) have won or tied after trailing.
After falling into a 2-0 hole, David Thompson’s scored the third of four unanswered Penn State goals with 3:09 left to play, completing the Lions’ latest comeback. It was the first goal of the season for the sophomore defenseman from the Philadelphia suburbs.
