Have a conversation with him, and one could easily mistake Penn State forward Tommy Olczyk for his father, Eddie, who spent 16 seasons in the NHL and the better part of a decade as a hockey analyst on TV.
Complimented for his ability to speak to the media and in front of a camera, Olczyk deflects comparisons to his father by joking that he’s not better than his mentor, just better looking. While the former NHL forward and TV analyst critiques his son’s performance on the ice for the Nittany Lions, Tommy and his two brothers evaluate their father’s TV appearances for NBC.
