With less than two weeks of practice behind them, Penn State headed to Vermont with hopes of opening their season on a high note.
The Lions did just that playing to a 3-3 tie on Friday, and taking a 4-2 victory from the Catamounts on Saturday.
“It was a great weekend,” said senior captain Taylor Gross. “It was a team effort. [Friday] we battled to get the tie, [Saturday] we battled to get the win.”
