This weekend’s playoff atmosphere culminated in an exciting finish to what would ultimately be a heartbreaking overtime defeat for the Penn State women’s hockey team against conference rival Syracuse.
The Lions (2-9-1 ) traded blows with the Orange (6-4-0) throughout both games, both literally and emotionally, as they struggled to end their first block of home games on a high note. Penn State lost by just a single goal on both days this weekend, losing 2-1 on Saturday and 4-3 on Sunday.
