Well. Penn State scored first, and took a 1-0 lead in the second. The Wildcats responded with four second-period goals for the 4-1. Not to be outdone, the Nittany Lions roared back (pun very much intended) with four goals of their own to erase the three-goal deficit and take the win. Surprisingly, the Nittany Lions had a low Corsi in the first period, when they earned the first goal.
Penn State vs. Northern Michigan 1/24/15, T, 5-5
Like the previous night, Northern Michigan pulled ahead with a three-goal lead. The teams exchanged goals in the second, and Penn State scored the next three goals to tie the game in the third period. The Wildcats retook the lead in the third, but Dylan Richard knotted the score at five. Penn State finished with a 5-on-5 Corsi of 68.82 percent.
