The top got shuffled around a lot over the weekend as Michigan State jumped into first place by sweeping Wisconsin while Ohio State and Minnesota split. Penn State remains in fourth place with their sweep over Michigan but has closed the gap to only three points from eight going into the weekend.
We are very much in the hunt for the championship (or a bye). I’ll work out some of the additional scenarios tomorrow but one thing I know for sure, is that if MSU and Michigan split next weekend (a likely outcome since they are playing a home and home) and PSU sweeps Minnesota (a not so likely outcome since we are playing them in Minneapolis), then PSU will claim the regular season title and an opening round bye for the Big Ten tournament.
It amazing to think that we are headed into the final weekend of the regular season and will be playing some very meaningful games.
