A spot in the NCAA Hockey Tournament is at stake for 6 Big Ten teams this weekend, as the Big Ten hockey tournament begins this afternoon at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The quarterfinals start at 4:30pm today with #4 Penn State taking on #5 Ohio State. The night cap features #3 Michigan against #6 Wisconsin. The winners advance to the semi-finals on Friday where #1 Minnesota and #2 Michigan State await. If U of M defeats Wisconsin, we’ll see a Michigan – Michigan State matchup in the semis. The championship game is slated for Saturday night.
