Year three of the Guy Gadowsky era at Penn State brings the inaugural season of the Big Ten hockey conference, and thus, the first full season of NCAA Division I action on the ice for the Nittany Lion men.

Competing last year as an independent program, Penn State experienced a taste of its future Big Ten opponents, going 3-2 against the likes of Ohio State, Wisconsin and Michigan State – including road wins in Madison and East Lansing.
