While the Big Ten lost a lot of its elite players, the conference also welcomed many talented rookies. Michigan and Minnesota have two of the top freshmen classes in the country, and Kyle Connor is one of the most promising rookies this year. In addition to Connor, the Wolverines added Cooper Marody, Nicholas Boka, Brendan Warren and defenseman Joe Cecconi. Boka and Warren both played for the NTDP, while Marody spent the season in the USHL.
