FAIRBANKS Anchorage native Casey Bailey forwent his senior season at Penn State and signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the NHLs Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
Bailey, who is the first Nittany Lion to sign a NHL contract, set career-highs as junior with 22 goals, 18 assists and 40 points in 36 regular season games this season. In 96 career games with the Nittany Lions, Bailey scored 45 goals with 35 assists for 80 points.
