Not even a government shutdown can stop the opening of Pegula Ice Arena.

Despite concerns that the government’s halt in action would not allow its service academies and their sports teams to travel, Penn State will officially take on Army in the opener of the $90 million arena at 8 p.m. on Oct. 11

Army announced the news on Thursday afternoon saying “all previous contests not cancelled will compete as scheduled.”
