Penn State’s final home non-conference series of the season was one to remember, after a total of 19 goals were tallied between the Nittany Lions(12-7-4)and the Northern Michigan Wildcats(9-9-6)over the course of two games. The Nittany Lions came away from the weekend with the 1-0-1 split, forcing two multi-goal third period comebacks over the weekend with a gutsy 5-4 victory Friday night and forcing a 5-5 tie Saturday evening. However this time, they pulled off their first win in three tries and won their series-opener for the first time since the beginning of December.
