For the first time, the Penn State men’s hockey team appeared on the ice of the Pegula Ice Arena in a practice open to fans Saturday morning at 12 a.m. The event marked the Nittany Lions’ first official practice and the opening of the 2013-2014 season.
“It’s midnight and they come out for this? It’s fantastic,” Penn State head coach Guy Gadowksy said. “We really do have high expectations for the student section and tonight to come out at midnight and have so many people come out and support us, it’s fantastic.”
