Penn State’s late rally came up just short as the Nittany Lions fell in a shootout on Friday night after tying 2-2 in regulation with Michigan State. The Nittany Lions are 10-7-3 overall and now 4-2-1 in the Big Ten. Michigan State scored to open the back and forth action with 16: 11 gone in the period as Penn State netminder Eamon McAdam was out of the net and tangled up with several players.
